How do satellites work?
Satellites are lower buy-in tournaments that give you a chance to win entry into higher buy-in events.
They're a cost-effective way to qualify for major tournaments.
How can I find satellite tournaments?
You can find satellite tournaments in the tournament lobby.
Mobile:
Go to the 'Tourney' tab.
Desktop:
- Open the tournament lobby.
- Use the filter.
- Select 'Satellite'.
How can I see which tournament a satellite leads to?
You can view the target tournament directly from the satellite lobby.
- Open the satellite tournament lobby.
- Go to the 'Home' tab.
- Select the link 'Satellite to [tournament name]'.
This opens the target tournament window.
What do I win in a satellite?
If you win a satellite, you receive entry into the target tournament.
You do not receive cash as a prize.
Can I unregister from the target tournament?
You may not always be able to unregister from the target tournament after qualifying.
Some tournaments do not allow unregistering.
If unregistering is not possible, a warning message is shown.
If you don't plan to play a specific event, avoid entering satellites that lead to it.
What happens if I win multiple satellites to the same tournament?
You cannot register more than once for the same tournament.
If you qualify multiple times:
- You won't receive another seat.
- You won't receive cash.
- You'll receive the tournament buy-in as T-Money instead.
T-Money is automatically used before real money for tournament entries.
What happens if I win a satellite after the target tournament has started?
The outcome depends on the tournament status.
- If late registration is still open: You're registered automatically.
- If the tournament is already in progress: You're seated automatically and can't unregister.
- If late registration is closed or you were already registered for the event: You receive the buy-in as T-Money instead.
