Poker: Customise keyboard shortcuts (hotkeys)

For customers based in Ireland that wish to play Poker, iPoker has been discontinued and Poker is no longer accessible through our Betfair Product. To play, you can open an account at pokerstars.com.

How does this work?

To set up and activate keyboard shortcuts, open from the main lobby:

  1. Settings
  2. Gameplay
  3. Hotkeys

To avoid any errors, use Ctrl+[key] combinations, rather than single keys or Shift+[key] combinations. The reason for this is that the software will perform hotkey action any time a specified key is pressed. Thus, if you set Shift+F to Fold, for example, any time you write a word in chat that contains F in it, the software will recognise it as you wishing to fold.

In addition, many shortcuts are already used by the software (Ctrl+F to find a player, Ctrl+T to find a tournament, etc.), thus we ask you to avoid using those combinations, as the system will not overwrite the original settings.

To set a key combination, first select Action from the drop-down menu, click on the box under it, press Ctrl and the desired key at the same time. For example, if you wish to use Ctrl+C to check, you will need to press Ctrl and C at the same time, for it to be activated.

Other options include:

  • Active Window - when activated, it will allow you to use the hotkey on the active table. Should you wish to move to the next table, you will need to click on that table.
  • Table Under Mouse - will allow you to simply hover your mouse on the table and press the pre-set keyboard shortcut to take that action.
  • Bring to Foreground - brings the table your mouse hovers over to foreground. This option is particularly useful when stacking tables.
  • Highlight Target Table - will frame the active table in the chosen colour.
