You may notice some changes to your Betfair Exchange experience over the coming weeks. On the 29th July 2026, the Exchange will be moving to the Sportbook.
We're making this update to enhance your overall betting experience, and so you can access all your favourite features in one place.
You'll still be able to back, lay, and set your own odds - nothing changes about how you bet!
We've pulled together answers to some frequently asked questions but if you can't find the information you need, please contact us and we'll be happy to chat.
Who does this impact?
We are gradually moving all customers across to the new Exchange experience, so you will continue on the current version until you are prompted to update your app. You cannot opt-out of this, all customers will be moved over to the new mobile exchange experience!
Your update will be scheduled during a specific period. We cannot provide a date/time if you contact us - but rest assured if you're actively using the app, you won't be interrupted.
Is the new mobile Exchange on all platforms?
No. It will be available on mobile web and app but not on desktop, the Exchange will remain as it is on desktop.
How do I move between Exchange and Sportsbook?
As per the image below, simply click Exchange/Sportsbook in the bottom right side of the footer to seamlessly move between products!
How different will the new interface be and what new features does the new mobile Exchange offer?
The new exchange offers a newer more modern user interface and navigation touchpoints which will ensure you as a customer can find what you're looking for a lot quicker.
Most features are in similar locations. The new interface will look very similar to the Sportsbook.
Are there features that will NOT be immediately available when I first use the new Exchange?
Yes. Certain features will not be available immediately and they will be released in the near future:
- Betfair SP
- Betfair Beacons
- Each Way Markets
- Horse Racing Exchange results
- Certain Line markets, totals & handicaps, Asian Handicap, certain Goal markets
Is Cash Out available?
Yes. Cash Out is available. However, Partial Cash Out & Auto Cash Out will only be available on Desktop.
Where is the Exchange favourite markets feature?
We have a new & improved favourite markets feature which works by starring the market and the starred/ favourited markets are added in a separate tab. You can see an example of this below:
Will my trading history be available on The new mobile exchange?
Yes, all previous bets settled and open will remain the same.
Will all the betting markets available on the old exchange be on the new one?
Yes, the new mobile exchange includes all existing markets and betting options from the previous version.
Do I need to update my login details or password?
No, your existing login credentials remain the same.
Will my account balance and funds transfer to the new mobile exchange?
Yes, your account balance will transfer automatically.
Will my Responsible Gambling settings carry over?
Yes, all your Responsible Gambling limits and settings will remain active on the new platform.
