Beat the Drop

Beat the Drop is one of the most popular games in the sports betting community that doesn’t require players to stake any money.

What is Beat the Drop?

This is a predictor game that requires players to split their prize pot between two possible answers for every question they encounter. You take the cash you placed on the winning answer through to the next question.

There are 12 questions in total and players who play Beat the Drop for free, are in with a chance of winning a share of the prize pot.

You can decide to split your pot however you like on each question. You could go all-in on the first question and win, in which case you’d carry your total pot through to your second question. In theory you could do this all the way through and win the full pot. However, generally the pot whittles down as you progress because you cover both outcomes with your answers.

The game ends when you answer the 12th question and have money left over, or when you run out of money.

Use the below guide to get to grips with Beat the Drop before giving it a go for the first time! We’ll take you through how to get started, and what to expect with Beat the Drop.

It’s also possible to pay to play Beat the Drop and change your number of questions, while boosting your potential winnings.

How do I play Beat the Drop?

Step 1: Firstly, you need to be logged in to your account. Then you can start a new game with your full pot and choose to play on a football question.

Step 2: In this example, you need to decide if there will be 3 or more goals in a match between Independiente (Ecu) and Boca Juniors.

Step 3: You think that’s unlikely but don’t want to go all-in on No. Therefore, you push £600 on No and leave £400 on Yes.

Hint: You can use the gauge in the middle to change your decision and move your money around.

Step 4: Just make sure you make the final call before the game and lock in your split.

Step 5: In this example, there was less than 3 or more goals in the match. You therefore took £600 through to Question 2. Congrats!

Hint: After each round, you will be able to see your remaining pot amount at the top of the Beat the Drop page.
