What is Build Ups?

Build Ups is a new product type, where customers can create new types of bets via the different card combinations (Basic/Link Ups/Match Ups/Double Ups). Build Ups focuses on the Player experience rather than team or overall sporting bets. You can access Build Ups here!

What data will you use?

We use Opta Stats as our source of data to settle bets.

When can I place my bet?

Build Ups are available 24 hours before kick-off.

What happens if my player doesn't start?

If a player in your Build Ups bet doesn't start then your bet will be voided and your money returned back to your wallet.

What happens if my Match Up ends in a draw?

For your Match Up to be settled as a winner, your chosen player must win the Match Up. For example, if Player A and Player B both score the same number of goals there is no winner. We use Opta Stats as our source of data to settle bets.

Can I Cash Out a Build Ups bet?

Currently there is no Cash Out option.

Can I bet in-play?

Currently there is no in-play betting.

Who can take part?

The product is available for new and existing customers, aged 18 or over, with registered Betfair accounts in the following countries: United Kingdom and Rep of Ireland

What is the minimum staking requirement?

Minimum staking requirements are: 0.10£/euro (as in our sportsbook)

What type of bets can I place?

The bets you can place are:

What is a Basic bet for Build Ups?

A Basic Bet is a straightforward betting option where you select one player and one specific outcome.
For example, you might bet on ''Player A to score at least 1 goal.'' This type of bet is ideal if you're confident in one player achieving a single outcome during the game.

What are Link Ups?

Links Ups are a Players Combined Bet that lets you bet on two players achieving a specific outcome. (example: Player A and Player B to score 2 or more goals)

In this type, you select two players and one outcome, with several ways to structure your bet:

Each Player to Achieve the Outcome: Both Player A and Player B must achieve the outcome for the bet to win.
One of the Two Players to Achieve the Outcome: Either Player A or Player B must achieve the outcome for the bet to win.
Players to Achieve the Outcome Together: The combined efforts of Player A and Player B must meet the outcome, such as both players collectively scoring 2 or more goals.

What are Double Ups?

Double Ups Bets allow you to select one player and two outcomes.

Here, you're betting on one player to meet multiple conditions with options for structuring your bet:

Player to Achieve Both Outcomes: Player A must meet both outcome conditions, such as ''score X or more goals and have at least 1 shot on target.''
Player to Achieve One of the Two Outcomes: Player A must meet at least one of the selected outcomes for the bet to win.

What are Match Ups?

Match ups is a Player vs Player Bet that lets you put two players against each other based on a specific outcome, such as - Player A will have more shots on goal than Player B.
In this type of bet, you select two players and one outcome:

Player A to win (i.e Player A > Player B)
Player B to win (i.e Player A < Player B)

For a Match Up bet, customers must select 2 different players.
Only selected players will be available for Match Ups

Player vs. Player Card

If you place a Match Ups bet and there is a tie/draw, the bet is settled as LOST.

Can I combine into multiples, Accas, Bet Builders, Classic style bets or Other products?

No, you cannot combine into Multiples, Accas, or Bet Builders.
You cannot combine with any classic bets or other products, for example virtuals.
Build Up bets & Classic style bets cannot be combined.

Will my bet be void if a player doesn't start the match?

All bets on Build Ups will be voided at kick-off if any player included in the bet doesn't start the match - i.e. bets on players that start on the bench will be voided as well.
The outcome of your Build-Up bets will be displayed using the same WON, LOST, or VOID indicators as those used across our Sportsbook, aligned with the product catalogue. Here's how it works:

Example:

Match: Home Team vs. Away Team
Your Bet: Team A to win
Result: Team A wins 1-0

Outcome:

The bet is settled as WON - the signpost will display WON.
If the bet is later resettled as VOID (e.g., due to specific circumstances), the signpost may still display WON.

Lineup Announcements

As soon as possible after the starting lineup is announced, the customer will only be shown a list of available players (excluding goalkeepers) for each team that compose the starting lineup - to avoid the selection of a player that doesn't start the match, and consequently have the bet voided.

When will bets be resulted?

Bets will be settled as soon as possible after the bet is either won or lost.

Player Set up - What if my player becomes suspended?

If a player is suspended, it will become unavailable from that point onwards - i.e. you won't be able to place bets with that player from that point onwards.
All bets placed prior to the suspension will still be valid.

Do own goals count?

No, own goals do not count toward a players goals scored in a match.

What Outcomes are available for this product?

Shots - You can bet on the number of times a player will shoot on target/shoot.
Shots On Target - You can bet on the number of times a player will shoot on target/shoot.
Goals - You can bet on the number of times a player will score.
To Be Shown A Card - You cannot bet on the number of cards, but rather if the player is carded or not.

Where can I find my bet once placed?

Build up bets that are settled and in your transaction history will appear the same as other settled betting types.

Stats Set Up

Historical (i.e. pre-match) player stats shown when selecting the players are based on the average player values from the start of the relevant competition (i.e. Premier League or Champions League).

If it's the:

1st Match of the Competition: No player stats will be available
2nd Match of the Competition: Player stats based only on the 1st match of the current season (full-time)
3rd Match of the Competition: Average values for player stats based only on the previous events of the current season (full-time)

Build Up templates included are as follows:

Basic
Link Ups
Double Ups
Match Ups

Basic Bet:

A Basic Build Ups bet consists of 1 player selected and 1 outcome (example: Player A to score at least 1 goal)

Link Ups Bet:

A Link Up bet consists of 2 Players and 1 outcome (example: Player A and Player B to score 2 or more goals)
Customers must select 2 players
Customers can select the following choices

Each player to achieve the outcome (i.e Player A AND Player B)
1 of 2 players to achieve the outcome (i.e Player A OR Player B)
Players to achieve the outcome together (i.e Player A + Player B)

Double Ups Bet:

A Double Up bet consist of 1 player and two outcomes (example: Player A to score X or more goals AND/OR to have at least 1 shot on target)
For a Double Up bet, customers must select 2 outcomes
For a Double Up bet, customers can select outcomes where one is contingent on the other (i.e Player A to score at least 1 in first half goal AND at least 3 goals in full time)
For a Double Up bet, customers cannot select outcomes where one compromises the other (eg. Player A To score 3 goals in the first half and to score 1 goal during regular time and have "player to achieve both outcomes"). This bet cannot be placed as one outcome compromises the other
For a Double Up bet, customers can select one of the following options:

Player to achieve outcomes (i.e Player A to achieve outcome 1 AND Outcome 2
Player to achieve 1 of 2 outcomes (i.e Player A to achieve outcome 1 OR outcome 2)

Match Ups Bet:

A Match Up bet consists of 2 players and 1 outcome (example: Player A to have more shots than Player B)
For a Match Up bet, customers must select 2 different players
For a Match Up bet, customer can select one of the following options:

Player A to win (i.e Player A > Player B)
Player B to win (i.e Player A < Player B)

Player vs. Player Card

If customers place a Match Ups bet and if there is a tie/draw, the bet is settled as LOST.

Resettlements

Outcomes are generally settled as soon as possible after the end of the event in question. Betfair may settle (or part-settle) some outcomes before the official result is declared (or may increase a customer's "available to bet" balance by the minimum potential winnings of that customer on a given outcome) purely as a customer service benefit. However, Betfair reserves the right to amend the settlement of the market if:

The official result is different to the result on which Betfair initially settled the outcome; or
If the outcome is eventually voided (e.g. for an abandoned event).

Betfair reserves the right to reverse the settlement of an outcome if an outcome is settled in error (for example, a human or technical error).

If Betfair resettles an, this may lead to amendments being made to a customer's balance to reflect changes in outcome settlement.

Void Bets

All bets on Build Ups will be voided at kick-off if any player included in the bet doesn't start the match - i.e. bets on players that start on the bench will be voided as well.

The outcome of your Build-Up bets will be displayed using the same WON, LOST, or VOID indicators as those used across our Sportsbook, aligned with the product catalogue.
