What are Fifty50 tournaments?
Fifty50 tournaments use a 50/50 payout system.
- The tournament ends when half of the players are eliminated
- The remaining players receive prize money
How does the payout work in Fifty50 tournaments?
The prize pool is split into two parts:
- 50% is divided equally among all remaining players
- 50% is distributed based on chip count
Players with more chips receive a larger share of the second portion.
Example of a Fifty50 payout
Tournament setup
- Players: 10
- Buy-in: 10
- Total prize pool: 100
- Players remaining: 5
Step 1: Equal share
Half of the prize pool (50) is split equally:
- Each player receives 10
Step 2: Chip-based share
The remaining 50 is distributed based on chip count:
- 50% of chips > +25 (total payout: 35)
- 10% of chips > +5 (total payout: 15)
